Hughes Supply Inc. (Orlando, Fla.) was awarded the Outstanding Community Service Award for 2003 by the Central Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in recognition of Hughes' philanthropic efforts in Orlando and in other areas where the company operates. The wholesaler has been working to help revitalize downtown Orlando and supports several nonprofit organizations there, including the Nap Ford Community School. In September Hughes opened its new corporate office at the corner of Division and Church Street in downtown Orlando.
