The market continues to be severely depressed with a lack of capital spending activity, especially in the main consumer oil and gas sectors.

Nickel prices have risen over the past 30 days to @$6.70 per lb. ($6.58 in the last update).

The Producer Price Index for copper tube and fittings were up 5.3% month-over-month (up 5.2% in the last update) and was up 7.6% year-over-year (down 3.7% Y/Y last month). 

Producer prices for HDPE pipe were up 2.6% M/M (up 1.6% last month) and were up 1.8% Y/Y (down 2.0% Y/Y last month).  

Valve prices according to the Producer Price Index were flat month-over-month in August (down 0.3% last month). 

Demand fluctuates across geography and vertical markets. 

We might see demand increase if oil continues to strengthen.  

Steel coil and scrap pricing remain volatile.
