National Hispanic Construction Association Form Education Partnership
Delmar, part of Cengage Learning,
announced a partnership with the National Hispanic Construction Association to
make more than two hundred titles for the professional building trades readily
available to NHCA members.
Through this new partnership, the NHCA will now be able to offer a wide range of educational materials to its nearly four thousand member companies. Delmar produces a comprehensive range of training resources for all levels of professional experience, including construction managers, construction workers, engineers, architects, contractors, do-it-yourselfers, students and instructors.
Materials, including some in Spanish, will be made available to NHCA members in the areas of construction estimating, materials estimating, building, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building codes, blueprint reading, crafting professional letters, accessing forms and OSHA compliance, among others.
“Spanish-speaking professionals represent a 30 percent increase in the U.S. labor force and account for more than 15 percent of the total construction industry,” said Greg Clayton, vice president, technology professional business unit, Delmar. “As one of the fastest-growing groups in the workforce, Hispanic construction professionals need access to educational resources in English and Spanish for training and professional development in the way that best fits their learning style.”
