People On The Move ... Wolesley PLC 's Richard Ireland will retire

Wolesley PLC (Reading, UK): Richard Ireland, non-executive chairman, will retire from the company's board after its annual meeting on Dec. 13, 2002. The board proposes to elect John Whybrow as non-executive chairman. He was appointed deputy chairman on April 12. Also, David Tucker, a non-executive director since 1990, retired on April 12 and was replaced by Jim Murray, formerly finance director of Land Securities PLC.
