Velan, Inc. appointed Tom Velan president and his brother, Ivan Velan, chairman. Their father, A.K. Velan, who founded the company in 1950, continues as CEO. Also, Steve Farrell was named CFO & executive vice president/finance and IT, as well as corporate secretary; Rana Bose is executive vice president/engineering, R & D, QA and total process improvement; Andy Smith is vice president/procurement and overseas manufacturing; and Gil Perez has been appointed vice president.
