Ferguson (Newport News, VA) appointed Al Whitehurst to director of residential business and promoted Henry Wood to national manager, residential strategic products.

Wood, most recently manager of national lighting and fireplace business, now will also oversee the strategy, sales and growth of appliances. Whitehurst has been general manager of Greensboro, NC, since 2004.

Also, Chip Devine has been appointed area manager for Florida. Most recently, he was general manager for Orlando, FL. In other news, Ferguson named Greg Berry to general manager of Greensboro, NC; Rick Chandler to general manager of Jackson, MS; Don Hobscheidt to general manager of Omaha, NE; and Lou Tocci to general manager of Columbia, SC.
