Combined U.S. factory shipments of central air
conditioners and air-source heat pumps for February were up 18% from March’s
total, but down 30% from February 2006 shipments.
Combined U.S. factory shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps for February totaled 386,260, up 18% from last month’s total, but down 30% from February 2006 shipments. Combined U.S. factory shipments for the year-to-date totaled 713,016, down 43% from the same period last year. Heat pump shipments for February totaled 136,621, down 12% compared with the same month last year. Heat pump shipments for the year-to-date totaled 253,653, down 23% from the same period last year.
