Combined U.S. factory shipments of central air
conditioners and air-source heat pumps for April totaled 559,774, up 7% from
April 2006 shipments, according to ARI.
Combined U.S. factory shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps for April totaled 559,774, up 7% from April 2006 shipments, according to the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI). Year-to-date combined U.S. factory shipments totaled 2 million, down 24% from the same period last year. Air-source heat pump shipments for April totaled 164,585, down 0.2% from April 2006 shipments.
