The American Institute of Architects (AIA) elected David A. Thurm as public director, to serve from the close of the 2007 annual meeting of the board of directors until the close of its 2009 annual meeting. Thurm, who currently is senior vice president and chief information officer at The New York Times, will offer insights on information technology, the media and strategic planning.
