Rinnai has launched a leasing program to encourage the use of tankless or direct vent heating technology among consumers. The company has an agreement with AWHR, an appliance leasing company, that offers 60-month leases. Under the agreement, AWHR owns the customer’s Rinnai unit and pays all installation and maintenance costs. The homeowner pays AWHR a monthly fee for the contract period.
In addition, Rinnai is promoting the fact that homeowners who invest in Rinnai’s Energy Star-qualified tankless water heaters can benefit from federal tax credits offered in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
