DECOLAV announced its multiple 2006 Award for Design Excellence (ADEX) wins. The Aura™ (Model # 3352), a double pedestal vanity sculpted from white tempered glass, won a platinum ADEX award. The patented 9400T frosted tempered-glass faucet stand, available in 10 shimmering frosted colors, is the winner of an ADEX silver award.
The Chicago Faucet Co., a member of the Geberit Group, announced that William Christensen became its president/CEO effective Feb. 22. He joined the Geberit Group in November 2004 and most recently was head of strategic marketing in Jona, Switzerland.

Shown here, the Axor Starck Waterwall shower system won both an iF design award and a Design Plus Award. The Design Plus award stands for product design of consumer goods that function better than their predecessors and are environmentally friendly, attractive and useful.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association named Edward Pell to its national headquarters staff as manager of market research, a new position. Pell has been writing about the kitchen and bath industry since 1978.
Elkay named Jack Krecek vice president/marketing, North America, Plumbing Products division. Krecek, a 21-year veteran at Elkay, had been vice president and general manager of the Elkay Water Cooler division. Also, Jeff Valles was appointed to marketing manager/faucets for Elkay's total faucet business. He had been a sales and marketing executive at Phylrich International, a manufacturer of premium faucets that was recently acquired by Elkay.
Carr Co. and NCS Corp. were appointed by Tasman Sinkware North America to represent its Oliveri line of kitchen sinks. Carr Co., based in Boca Raton, FL, will cover Georgia and most of Florida. NCS Corp., of Bloomington, MN, will cover Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
In-Sink-Erator announced that Rob Grim is shifting to vice president of wholesale sales and Robert Tsuchiyama is returning to In-Sink-Erator from parent company, Emerson, as vice president of retail sales. Tsuchiyama served more than three years as vice president for Emerson Store Support and previously was with In-Sink-Erator for nine years as national account manager and regional sales manager. Grim, an 11-year In-Sink-Erator veteran, previously served as vice president of retail sales after his promotion from director of retail sales.
