Over the last several years, the American Supply Association has been a strong advocate for Operation: Rise & Conquer. The mission of Operation: Rise & Conquer, a program started by ASA and now the official military program of the Adaptive Sports Center, is to empower and inspire wounded soldiers and veterans to regain confidence and trust in themselves and others.
Tailored to veterans recovering from physical and mental injuries, the program provides veteran participants with instruction and adaptive equipment for winter and summer outdoor adventure activities through its facilities in Crested Butte, Colorado. These activities are designed to support veterans in their daily lives and have a positive lasting effect on self-efficacy, health, independence and overall well-being.
Most recently, the Emerging Leaders Division held its annual Spring Forum in Jersey City, New Jersey May 21-23. This division continues to champion our industry’s initiative to raise funds for Operation Rise & Conquer. Over the past four years, ASA has raised more than $250,000 with more than $40,000 being raised at the Spring Forum during that time. At this year’s forum during the networking lunch, the Emerging Leaders Division continued its support for Operation: Rise & Conquer by raising more than $6,000 for the cause.
