Wolseley Industrial Group, the industrial division of Ferguson Enterprises, recently announced the acquisition of Action Automation. The acquisition closed Aug. 20 and the company will operate as Action Automation, a Wolseley Industrial Group company.

In business since 1997 and headquartered in Alsip, Illinois, Action Automation specializes in providing actuator solutions and services to power utilities, refineries, pipelines, terminals, water- and wastewater-treatment plants.

“Growing our valve and automation business is a priority for us,” Ferguson CEO Kevin Murphy said. “With Action Automation, we gain expertise and experience from a leading industry supplier of actuators to better-serve our customers.”

Action Automation co-owner Ed Craven added: “Wolseley Industrial Group is our No. 1 customer. We have built a great relationship together and being part of the team will allow us to diversify our business and provide more growth opportunities for our associates.”
