After eight weeks of lower hot rolled coil prices, domestic mills have announced a $40.00 per ton increase which will be passed thru to ERW & CW Pipe mills. This could cause pipe mills to attempt a price increase. This committee does not anticipate that sticking. Import pricing, which has been unstable, continues to rise due to duties, tariffs and quotas. Thailand was recently hit by a 28-31% duty on imports. Pipe business and distributor inventories remain strong.
