Ferguson Bath, Kitchen and Lighting Gallery acquired Capital Distributing, effective Oct. 29. The company will rebrand as Capital Distributing, a Ferguson enterprise.

Founded by Jim Davis in 1973 and based in Dallas, Texas, the company offers a wide selection of leading appliance brands, and delivery and installation services for builders, remodelers, architects, designers and consumers. Ferguson explained it will expand the company’s product offering, adding plumbing products to its showrooms.

“Capital Distributing has long-standing builder relationships and experienced appliance delivery and install teams,” Ferguson CEO Kevin Murphy said. “Together, we will strengthen our collective showroom presence and become a leading destination for plumbing, lighting and appliances in the Dallas market.”

Capital Distributing President Mike Davis added: “I’m proud our team has built such a great company that Ferguson, given its wonderful reputation, wanted us to be a part of their operation. We look forward to helping grow the Capital business within the Ferguson brand.”
