Ed McMenamin has been named chief editor of PM Engineer magazine, which serves specifiers and designers of plumbing, piping, hydronic and fire protection products and equipment.
McMenamin is no stranger to BNP Media, having worked the past four years on the Quality and Appliance Design brands.
“Ed brings a great work ethic and get-after-it attitude that will fit perfectly within the Plumbing Group,” Group Editorial Director Mike Miazga said. “I have zero doubt Ed will quickly embed himself in the plumbing and mechanical engineering community and bring pme to even greater heights.”
“I’m excited to delve into the plumbing and mechanical engineering community and to report the information that PM Engineer’s readers look forward to every month," McMenamin said. “Next month’s AHR Expo in Atlanta will be a great opportunity for me to get a jump start. I encourage anyone who would like to meet one-on-one and share ideas for the magazine, or to just chat about the industry, to reach out.”
Prior to coming to BNP Media, McMenamin worked for 2.5 years at the Pekin Daily Times in central Illinois and spent three years at the Elmhurst Press/Downers Grove Reporter, both part of a chain of community-focused newspapers in the Chicago western suburbs.
McMenamin is a native of Springfield, Illinois, and is a 2008 graduate of Bradley University in Peoria. He is based out of his home office in Chicago.
