Metals Service Center Institute reports only aluminum shipments in Canada increased in March 2019 from the previous year. Steel shipments decreased in both countries and aluminum decreased at a more significant rate in the U.S.

U.S. service center steel shipments in March decreased by 9.4% from March 2018. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 6.3% from the same month in 2018.

Canadian service center steel shipments in March 2019 decreased by 11.9% from March 2018. Shipments of aluminum products increased by 4.2% from the same month in 2018.
