New Bedford, Massachusetts-based Plumbers’ Supply Co. announced its new 175,000-sqaure-foot distribution facility will open in July. For nearly 70 years, Plumbers’ Supply has operated in the southeastern Massachusetts area. The company will continue its commitment to the local economy with the development located on a 45-acre parcel in the New Bedford Industrial Park.

 “Our growth over the last 70 years has been a result of our people and their commitment to the company,” said Sean Jones, vice president of Plumbers’ Supply Co. “As a family-owned business, we value our people first and foremost and look forward to providing a state-of-the-art facility for them as we move into the future.”

Utilizing the Total Warehouse Logistics platform, the new distribution center will stock thousands of plumbing and HVAC products and provide improved service to customers, the company noted. The facility will be equipped with a revamped warehouse management system, scanning technologies and new material-handling equipment. Another highlight of the project is the state-of-the-art training center, which will host manufacturer events, continuing education and internal training courses.

Plumbers’ Supply has 16 branches and three kitchen and bath showroom locations throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
