AGE: 28
COMPANY: ERB COMPANY
TITLE: COMMERCIAL PLUMBING FIXTURE SALES (BID & SPEC)
How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?
LE: I started helping out in the warehouse when I was about 14, but I have been here under full-time employment for the last six years.
What drew you into the industry?
LE: My family was my biggest inspiration to join the team here at the Erb Co, but I stayed for the thrill of the sale.
What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?
LE: I love being a part of my community's future and infrastructure. Knowing I was a part of our growing city of Buffalo, New York.
What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?
LE: I wish more people were aware of the value our expertise can provide as distributors. We are so much more than a big box store.
What has been the proudest moment in your career so far?
LE: Just this year I have been able to land more than 15 commercial projects in the Buffalo area alone. It's been a rewarding experience.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
LE: I'm a descendant of Charles Lindberg, the great aviator.
Why he was chosen as a Next Gen All Star Top 20 Under 40 winner:
“Laurence (or as he is better known, Lindy) originally started working for the Erb Company in 2010. Even though he is the son of the owner, and great-great-grandson of the founder of the business in 1900, Lindy hasn't been handed anything! Rather, he started working in the warehouse as a stock boy and has steadily progressed to hold critical positions in the IT and Purchasing Departments before being promoted early this year to the Commercial Plumbing Sales Department,” says Pete Murray, CFO, Erb Company.
