Caleffi announced a facility expansion at its Milwaukee headquarters. This significant expansion will not only double the warehouse footprint but will also augment the assembly area, adding much needed space for growth.
Chairman Marco Caleffi, along with a distinguished delegation from the Italian office, joined the North America leadership team in celebrating the occasion during a recent groundbreaking ceremony. The company's presence underscored the strategic importance of this expansion to both the company’s North American and Italian operations.
"With this expansion our capacity will nearly triple. We are committed to high growth and sustaining excellent fulfillment performance of the most innovative products in the industry. Our project lead, CTO Mike Schreiner, with his impeccable attention to details, is coordinating all aspects of the build-out," said Mark Olson, general director and CEO of Caleffi North America.
As a reflection of Caleffi’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint, the entire facility will harness solar energy, with photovoltaic panels set to provide over 80% of the building’s electricity demands. To minimize electric demand, warehouse lighting fixtures will have individual integral motion sensors. In addition, over 90% of the building’s materials and labor will be regionally sourced.
