At Bradford White, we’re committed to our industry. That’s a generic statement, but it’s sincere and something we do not take lightly. In fact, when you break down what that commitment truly is and who it’s directed at, that promise is a key pillar of our business.
First and foremost, we’re committed to our contractor and wholesaler customers. When it comes to our wholesale partners specifically, it’s imperative that we maintain relationships and continue to develop new ones in order to combat the challenges we face in this quickly evolving market.
Our decades-long partnership with the American Supply Association (ASA) has played, and continues to play, a huge role in fostering those relationships.
We’re also committed to maintaining our relationships for years to come by succession planning in a strategic and thoughtful way. We want to ensure successful relationships with our wholesale partners in the future by developing the next generation of Bradford White leaders. ASA is an invaluable resource in executing that strategy as it’s working to pave the way for emerging leaders and women in the industry through several successful and influential initiatives.
In April, a group of female Bradford White employees attended the ELEVATE2024 conference, hosted by the ASA Women in Industry division, in Nashville, Tennessee. The three-day event was filled with professional development, educational sessions, panel discussions, best practice sharing and lots of networking. The ELEVATE conference isn’t a new event for ASA, but this year it sold out with record-breaking attendance!
The success of this conference helps paint the picture of the ever-evolving PHCP/PVF industry. As we see more and more women entering and climbing the ranks, it’s important that Bradford White continues to work with organizations like ASA that share values of equal opportunity and growth for women.
ASA’s Women in Industry initiative is also a helpful point of reference as we continue to develop the Bradford White Corporation Women’s Network, an employee resource group created to support the success of female employees through professional development, community engagement and influencing supportive workplace policies. The BWC Women’s Network has already held multiple professional development seminars for employees and was able to blaze a trail for new company policies.
In May, a group of Bradford White employees also attended the EMERGE2024 conference in Boston. The roundtable discussions, professional development events and, of course, networking, was a great way for our team members to expand their knowledge of the industry and help mentor our future leaders.
Bradford White sponsors and sends our employees to events like ELEVATE, EMERGE, NETWORK, and the regional summits, as well as hosts internal trainings so we can equip them with the knowledge, experience, and industry connections they need to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
As a manufacturer dedicated to the professional installation of our products by tradespeople through the professional distribution channel, we must align the future generations to maintain a united front across the industry on the issues we face together.
Strong industry partners like ASA allow us to do just that. We’re grateful for our long-standing partnership as ASA provides support, insight and relationships to help us help our customers succeed.
