Republic Companies and T.F. Ehrhart announce strategic merger, expanding HVAC and electrical distribution footprint

Republic Companies, a leading HVAC and electrical distributor with 108 years of industry experience, and T.F. Ehrhart, a premier HVAC distributor with a 73-year legacy, recently announced a merger.
According to a news release, the strategic move aims to unite two industry leaders, strengthening their market position and enhancing service offerings for contractors, technicians and trade professionals across the Midwest.
The announcement said that Republic Companies, headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, has "built a strong reputation for delivering top-tier HVAC and electrical solutions." The company’s portfolio includes leading HVAC brands such as York, Luxaire, Mitsubishi, and Gree, alongside electrical solutions from Schneider Electric and ABB. T.F. Ehrhart carries brands such as Luxaire, Bosch, and Samsung.
“This merger represents a natural fit for both companies,” said Todd Wade, CEO of Republic Companies. “By combining our resources, product lines, and industry expertise, we are better positioned to provide our customers with expanded product availability, deeper technical support, and enhanced logistics capabilities.”
T.F. Ehrhart’s leadership echoed the enthusiasm.
“We are excited to join forces with Republic Companies,” T.F. Ehrhart President Jim Schelpphorst said in a public statement. “Both organizations share a commitment to excellence, customer service, and innovation. This partnership will provide our customers with even greater access to leading HVAC and electrical solutions.”
The announcement said the integration of the two companies will "proceed seamlessly" to ensure that customers continue to receive the high level of service and support they have come to expect.
