Elliott most recently was chairman, president and CEO of Snap-on Tools Corp. Prior to that, he was president of the company's diagnostics and industrial businesses. Before joining Snap-on in 1995, he spent 11 years with Emerson Electric, primarily in senior marketing and general management positions. Elliott succeeds James Dwyer, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Devine is joining American Standard after three years at Jacuzzi Brands, where most recently he was president/COO. From 1998 to 2001, Devine was president and CEO of Kimble Glass, the U.S. subsidiary of Gerresheimer Group in Germany. Previously he served in senior executive positions at Ivex Packaging Corp., Gaylord Container Corp., the James River Corp. and Packaging Corp. of America.
Ward joined American Standard in May 2003 as vice president and general manager. He previously served as vice president and general manager of Dell Computer Corp. in China. Before that, he was vice president and head of strategic development and operations for Clorox Co. in Asia. He also spent six years as CEO for United Biscuits China.
Rietveldt recently joined American Standard from Tarkett, a flooring company, where he served as president of the company's residential division for the past three years. Prior to that, he spent eight years in leadership positions at Whirlpool, including vice president of sales for Europe. Earlier in his career, he served in sales and marketing positions at household appliance companies Electrolux and Moulinex.
