Wolverine Tube's Ardmore, Tenn., manufacturing facility received the Silver STAG Award from ITT Hartford Insurance for maintaining an injury-free workplace throughout 1998. The award is given in recognition of an excellent safety record.

The Ardmore facility was opened in 1973 and currently has about 88 employees. The 65,000-sq. ft. plant is ISO-9002-certified and supplies small diameter capillary and control tubes. This is the second consecutive year that Ardmore has received the award.

In other news, the company's small tube products subsidiary in Altoona, Pa., and its manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China, have received ISO-9002 certification.
