The organizers are Todd Davis and Alan Peterson, now partners in the Davis Peterson Collaborative. Both were formerly associated with the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show as executives in the building group at Miller Freeman.
"K/BIS is a trade show that also offers some education," Davis said. "Only about 1,000 of the 35,000 people who attend K/BIS even go to the educational conference. This event will be just the opposite, all about education and networking."
The Luxury Collection will be an invitation-only event for both manufacturers and attendees, he said. It will capture a unique blend of designers, architects, estate homebuilders, and high-end kitchen and bath dealers and distributors.
The event's advisory board includes Cheng Designs, Poliform USA, PS Craftsmanship, Rohl Corp., Serdaneli, Sub-Zero, Wolf Gourmet and Watermark Designs.
"Participating manufacturers will have the opportunity to obtain feedback from high-end designers and architects early in the product development stage," Davis said.
The event has a Web site at www.luxurykbcollection.com.
