“Unifying the company under one name is the logical extension of Uponor's evolution,” said Jim Bjork, executive vice president, Uponor North America. He added that while growing the company is important, the point of the branding initiative is to create mutual success with its downstream customers - plumbers, contractors, distributors, engineers, etc. “That means working with them to grow the business together and build mutual success around a stronger, clearer and consistent brand message,” he said.
Throughout the coming year, the Wirsbo name will transition to Uponor in all its marketing materials and product labeling.
In other news, the company has created five new positions under Wade Peterson, vice president of sales and marketing for Uponor: North American sales manager, Roger Davis; U.S. Eastern sales manager, Ken Anderson; U.S. Western sales manager, Jackie Sharrock; national builder accounts manager, Grant Dow; and Canadian Region sales manager, Dave Fletcher.
