Newport News, Va.-based Ferguson purchased Linwood Pipe and Supply Co., based in Detroit, and Hanco Plumbing Supply of Ashland, Ky. Both companies were acquired through asset transactions.

Family-owned and operated Linwood Pipe and Supply distributes residential and commercial plumbing supplies. Founded in 1926 by Harry Davidson, Linwood has one location with 41 full-time associates and annual sales of about $25 million.

Danny Kurzmann and Steve Margolin, current owners and grandsons of Harry Davidson, will remain with the company, serving as branch president and vice-president of sales, respectively.

Hanco Plumbing Supply distributes residential, commercial, industrial and institutional plumbing supplies. The company has 16 full-time associates and annual sales of about $3.8 million. Its Ashland and Grayson, Ky., locations will become satellitesof Ferguson's Charleston, W. Va., branch; the Paintsville, Ky., location will be merged into Ferguson's Georgetown, Ky., satellite.
