Ferguson Enterprises (Newport News, VA) opened its first Xpress store in Carmel, IN, in November. The 3,700-sq.-ft. store, located at 831 S. Range Line Road, is managed by Matt Taylor. Ferguson says the Xpress locations are a significant part of the wholesaler's continued growth. These stand-alone plumbing/heating Xpress stores are located within a three- to five mile geographical area, just minutes from a customer's job site. Typical Xpress customers are local plumbers, remodelers and repair/service trade professionals. The stores are stocked with more than 3,000 items so that customers can walk in, select and purchase their items and return to the job, with minimal interruption to their workday.
