McJunkin Co. announced the sale of its interest in McJunkin-Cambar ("McBar") to Cameron & Barkley, a subsidiary of Hagemeyer North America, on Oct. 8, 2002.
Formed in 1994, McBar had been a 50-50 joint venture between McJunkin and Cameron & Barkley, supplying a full range of PVF and other MRO products and services to industrial customers.
"Working together with Cameron & Barkley over the last eight years has been beneficial to both of our companies," said Bernie Wehrle, McJunkin's president/CEO. "We expect to have continued dealings with each other as our Integrated Supply presence continues to grow."
