As we were going to press, Supply House Times learned from three separate industry sources that Gerber Plumbing Fixtures Corp. was in the process of being purchased by Globe Union, a Taiwan-owned manufacturing company with a U.S. office in Bolingbrook, Ill.

Globe markets Danze showerheads, faucets and accessories in the United States. Gerber President Ila Lewis declined to confirm or deny the information. This would be consistent with confidentiality requirements during the due diligence process. A call to Globe Union was not returned in time for this edition.
