SupplyFORCE.com selected the Eclipse Distribution Management System as its electronic-commerce software platform after an extensive evaluation of software providers. The MRO materials logistics coordinator intends to leverage its network of independent distributors to streamline the procurement process for Global 2000 customers.

"Eclipse's integrated e-commerce technology and deep understanding of the distribution marketplace will enable supplyFORCE to implement a complete, end-to-end e-procurement solution," said John Ludlam, senior vice president/operations for supplyFORCE.

At the core of Eclipse's e-commerce capabilities is the Eclipse Messaging Server, a real-time communications engine that allows customers to use interoperable technologies to collaborate across the extended supply chain. The EMS is designed to streamline and optimize order processing and allow customers to communicate with trading partners regardless of their internal technology platform.

Eclipse incorporates fundamental industry standards including EDI, XML, e-mail and fax to facilitate real-time connectivity between different systems.
