Dean T. Lewis, 80, former co-owner of Stainless Steel Sinks Inc., and former president of the U.S. subsidiary of Revere Sink Corp., died June 2 in Weeki Wachee, Fla. He devoted his entire career to the manufacturing segment of the plumbing industry. In the early years of his career he was a salesman and later a district manager for American Standard's Plumbing & Heating division. In the early 1950s he was a product manager for Just Manufacturing, where he spent nearly 20 years, rising to a senior sales executive position. He was recruited by Harold Jensen, founder of Stainless Steel Sinks Inc., as executive vice president and co-owner. Stainless Steel Sinks became a leading stainless sink OEM for manufacturers such as Moen and Gerber. The company was liquidated following the death of its founder. Lewis became president of the U.S. subsidiary of Revere Sink Corp., a Canadian supplier of stainless sinks, where he remained until his retirement.
