Both Kohler Co. and its Sterling division have embarked on road shows, each in four custom trucks outfitted with products, literature, computer/video demonstrations and Internet access, to strengthen relationships with customers.

Kohler launched a year-long "Complete Design Solutions" cross-country road trip that brings its sales reps directly to customers, including home builders, remodelers, plumbing contractors, architects and designers.

The Kohler truck is equipped to demonstrate whirlpool and faucet installations and gravity-fed flushing performance. Working products include cast iron and stainless steel sinks, toilet technology, whirlpool baths, and bath and kitchen faucets. Each truck holds a 220-gallon tank to supply water for the demonstrations and an onboard generator powers the lighting and climate control

systems.

The deep blue-colored trucks, decorated with oversized lifestyle images, will make scheduled stops within Kohler's west, south, east and midwest sales regions.

Kohler Co. markets its products under the brand names: Kohler, Sterling, Kallista, Ann Sacks, Robern, Canac and, in Europe, under the brand names of Jacob Delafon, Sanijura, Neomediam and Mira.

Sterling's year-long Kitchen & Bath Road Show will enable the company to team up with its distributors for face-to-face meetings with customers in the United States and Canada. Each of the four trucks will tour a specific region to participate in local promotional events and stage on-site demonstrations. The trucks will showcase bath fixtures and kitchen sinks made from Vikrell[TM] material, stainless steel sinks, vitreous china toilets and lavatories, and shower doors. Their exteriors are decorated to promote the Sterling brand and are equipped with rear and side awnings. Sterling has information about its Kitchen & Bath Road Show on its Web site, www.SterlingPlumbing.com, and will track its progress through the year.
