Modern Supply Co. (Knoxville, Tenn.) promoted Dottie Ramsey to president/chief operating officer. She joined the wholesale firm in 1965 and worked in all departments before becoming executive vice president in 1994. She was elected to serve as the first female president of the Southern Wholesalers Association in 1992. She is currently vice president of the American Supply Association. Modern Supply, a distributor of heating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and lighting, and cabinets and appliances, has six branches in Tennessee.
