John "Jack" W. Moore, 77, founder and president of The Swan Corp., died suddenly Oct. 28. He founded the company in 1964 with the introduction of the non-metal, non-ceramic Shell shower system. Five years later he pioneered the development of the tub surround, the forerunner of Swan's Tubwal. He introduced Swanstone reinforced solid surface for countertops and other bath and kitchen products in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Terry Moore, sons John W. Moore Jr. and Wesley Moore, daughter Harriette Warren and four grandchildren.
