Galleria Bath and Kitchen Showplace with a grand opening celebration in February. More than 300 architects, builders, designers, general contractors, plumbing contractors, manufacturers and local dignitaries attended the midweek event.
The new Galleria replaces an older showroom at another location and features a Kohler "Premier" showroom, one of only five U.S. showrooms to have that distinction. The Kohler products are grouped together in a centrally located showroom-within-a-showroom that was designed by the manufacturer.
While some displays are presented in vignettes, most of the products are in an open setting to enhance the sense of spaciousness.
The showroom is part of the wholesaler's 55,000-sq.-ft. headquarters facility, which includes corporate offices, a warehouse and a 2,000-sq.-ft. counter sales area. The headquarters building is being expanded by another 15,000 sq. ft.
Six salespeople work in the new showroom, compared with one or two assigned to the other two showrooms operated by the company. The other showrooms are in Tampa and Hudson, Fla.
"There is a growing demand for more luxurious bath and kitchen fixtures and accessories," Joseph White, chairman, said in a statement. "With a modern and luxurious showroom we feel that we have a lot to offer the various professions involved in the upscale housing market."
