Velan expands French operations

Canadian valve manufacturer Velan has acquired Bouvier-Darling SA, a Grenoble, France, manufacturer of gate, check and specialty valves for the nuclear and fossil-power industries and gas pipelines.
In addition, Alstom Velan, a Lyon, France, valve manufacturer that is half-owned by Velan, has bought the specialty and cryogenic valve line of Adareg, another French designer and manufacturer of special control valves used in "extreme" applications in the energy, liquified gas, petrochemical, cryogenic and space industries.
