Three members of the Houston-based Industrial Piping Division of the American Supply Association have joined the board of directors for the Common Industry Material Identification System: Gary Cartright of Piping & Equipment, Houston; Kevin McBride, Grinnell Corp.; and Mike Sundine, Liberty Equipment & Supply, Seattle.

The PVF Roundtable's board elected Tom Pettit, sales manager for Piping & Equipment, vice president of the group.

In other news, the CIMIS database now comprises close to 2 million items with the posting of the first complete group of valve descriptions.

Buttweld valves are scheduled to be the next products added to the CIMIS listing. Other releases slated for the database by the end of 1999 are plumbing-related materials and additional pipe specifications for large O.D., low-temperature materials.
