NxTrend Technology, Inc., acquired Dimasys Software, a privately-held provider of wholesale distribution solutions. The acquisition will allow NxTrend to target different segments of the distribution industry with functionally-specific and robust products.

"This acquisition will allow NxTrend to bring solutions to a wider segment of the distribution market," said Michael J. Cornell, NxTrend president and CEO. "We now have a broader product offering that can appeal to both small and large distributors in many new verticals NxTrend has not historically pursued. On the whole, Dimasys' customers are smaller distributors, and we plan to work with them to further their penetration into that market segment."

Dimasys will continue support and development of its Enspire product line and will operate as a division of NxTrend. Gary Simon, the founder of Dimasys, will remain as president reporting to Mike Cornell.
