Messe Frankfurt, organizer of the 2002 ISH North America show in Toronto, announced it has agreed to key terms with Echelon Corp., creator of the LonWorks home automation platform, for extending stewardship of the LonWorld Trade Show and Conference to events held in North America. The next LonWorld event will be held on Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 2002, in Toronto, Canada, co-located with Messe Frankfurt¿s ISH NA .
Echelon¿s LonWorks platform is used for connecting everyday devices such as appliances, thermostats, air conditioners, electric meters, and lighting systems to each other and to the Internet. Echelon¿s hardware and software products enable manufacturers and integrators to create smart devices and systems for homes, buildings and other systems.
Messe Frankfurt hosts ISH (International Sanitation & Heating) North America in cooperation with the American Supply Association, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating, and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors - National Association. Each association will hold its annual meeting in conjunction with ISH NA in 2002.
