Water heater manufacturer State Industries announced that its president, Herb Lindahl, has assumed the additional responsibilities of chief executive officer and chairman of the board. Company co-founder John R. Lindahl Sr., who has been named chairman emeritus and will continue to serve on the firm's board of directors, previously held those positions.

The company also named Ken Naglewski as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Naglewski, previously a principal with Morris Anderson & Associates, a national advisory firm, has been State's interim COO since August 1998.
