Nordyne secured a deal to add Westinghouse to its list of brands earlier this year. The Westinghouse product line will be marketed as one of Nordyne's premium residential and light commercial brands, along with its two current brands Frigidaire and Tappan.
Nordyne will produce a full line of heating and cooling products under the Westinghouse name beginning the second quarter of 2002.
"The Westinghouse-branded products present new sales opportunities for independent distributors and contractors," said Dennis Kloster, vice president of marketing and sales for Nordyne. "We are committed to selling through distributors, and our brand strategy allows our distributors to fulfill the specific product needs of their contractor and builder customers."
Nordyne will expand distribution to support the Westinghouse-branded HVAC products and expects to identify new distributors for the products soon.
