Owners of pressure-assist toilets expressed satisfaction with the product and indicated they would buy another of the same type, in response to a survey conducted by a market research firm and sponsored by Sloan Flushmate. The survey was mailed to 5,000 owners of Flushmate-equipped pressure-assist toilets and garnered a 68% response rate. As an incentive to respond, customers were offered a one-year extension on their warranty date.
Results of the survey include:
- 92% said they were satisfied with their pressure-assist toilet.
- 86% said they would buy another.
- 89% said they would recommend the product to a friend or relative.
- 28% said they heard about pressure-assist toilets from their plumber or contractor. However, many said they learned about pressure-assist technology in a visit to a public rest-room, such as in a restaurant, hotel, doctor's office or retail store.
