The Store Software Taskforce of Johnstone Supply (Portland, Ore.), which was comprised of 12 Johnstone storeowners, selected Eclipse as the recommended software platform for its co-operative members. Johnstone Supply consists of 245 individually owned and operated stores nationwide.
Johnstone storeowners expect to achieve significant economies of scale as other members begin to go live on the Eclipse distribution management system. Johnstone Supply - Western Michigan and Johnstone Supply - Columbus (Ohio) have been using Eclipse B2B Commerce, a real-time extensible markup language (XML) communications solution for activities such as inventory searches, pricing checks and electronic procurement.
