James MacDonald,70, founder and chairman of MacDonald Supply (Findlay, Ohio) died on Sept. 17 at his home. He was instrumental in the formation of Tri-State Distributors Association, which became Central Wholesalers Association in 1980. He was president of the TSDA in 1977/78 and also served on the board of the American Supply Association. MacDonald and his wife, Virginia, bought Findlay Pipe & Supply in 1967 and changed the name of the company to MacDonald Inc., when it was incorporated in the state of Ohio. The company adopted its current name in 1996 when his son, Kevin MacDonald, purchased the company. Today the company operates four locations: in Findlay, Bellefontaine, Defiance and Lima, Ohio. All locations have bath showrooms that also include kitchen fixtures and faucets. Memorials may be made to Bridge Hospice, 425 College St., Findlay, Ohio.
