Ferguson (Newport News, Va.) named Gary Williams director of business excellence. Williams joined Ferguson in 1985 as a trainee in Newport News, Va. After moving to Cincinnati to serve as purchasing and operations manager, he was instrumental in starting the Integrated Systems division. He was promoted to president and general manager of the Webster, N.Y., location in 1992; became president and general manager of the Integrated division in 1998; and in 2002 formed the Business Development Group.
In other news, Ferguson appointed John Morris to president and general manager of its Oklahoma City location. He joined Ferguson as a trainee in 1993 in Tallahassee, Fla. After working in inside sales and outside sales, he was named manager of the Fort Walton Beach, Fla., satellite in 2001.
