Rheem Water Heaters said it has seen a smooth transition with its redesigned residential gas and electric water heater lines that meet new energy factor, or EF, requirements. As required by the National Appliance Energy Conservation, Rheem began shipping the new models on the effective date of Jan. 20. Rheem says its improved insulating process and energy-saving components have helped meet the new requirements with little impact to product dimensions.
