Meyers Plumbing & Heating Supply Co., based in Pittsburgh, has been acquired by Lauren and Barry Friedman of Mt. Lebanon, Pa.

Lauren Friedman is the great-granddaughter of Jacob and Molly Meyers, who founded the company in 1902; granddaughter of Louis and Anne Meyers; niece of Jack and Bernice Meyers; and daughter of Julian and Tibey Meyers Falk. She represents the fourth generation to carry on the business of selling plumbing and heating products to the greater Pittsburgh area. Her husband, Barry Friedman, is a partner in the law firm of Metz Lewis.

Jack Meyers, immediate past president of the wholesale firm, has retired. Julian Falk, formerly vice president, will remain in the business in a consulting capacity.

The company has one location, a 27,000-sq.-ft. facility at 2127 Fifth Ave. in Pittsburgh, which includes a large counter sales area.

Meyers Plumbing & Heating belongs to the American Supply Association and the United Purchasing Association.
