F.W. Webb: Construction is underway for F.W. Webb's 408,560-sq.-ft. “state-of-the-art”distribution center located on a 42-acre site on Northern Boulevard in Amherst, N.H. Attending the groundbreaking were (left to right): Matt Wirth, project captain, PCI Architecture; Rick Levesque, warehouse manager, Jeff Pope, president, and John Pope, owner, all of F.W. Webb; John Samenfeld, president, Pro Con Construction; Jerry Fortier, distribution center manager, F.W. Webb; and Jim Loft, principal, PCI Architecture.
In addition to high bay pallet rack storage, parts storage and 26 loading docks, the facility will include 14,200 sq. ft. of office space.
Most purchasing will be done via electronic data interchange and most vendors will participate in vendor-managed inventory.
