Coleman®, part of York International's Unitary Products Group, hosted a meeting for seven of its dealers and members of the trade press on April 1-2 at its headquarters in Wichita, Kan. Attendees had a chance to view the Coleman mobile unit currently visiting wholesaler sites throughout the United States. Cos Caronna (pictured left), senior director - residential design engineering and product management of UPG, demonstrated a new York Programmable Thermostat for dealer Roy Checketts (right) of Affordable Air Care (Colorado Springs, Colo.). The thermostat has a voice feature that tells homeowners how to program their heating/cooling system, alerts them when there is a problem and provides the name and phone number of the contractor who installed the unit.
Each dealer present at the meeting received one of the first seven units of the Echelon series air conditioners to come off the assembly line.
